What Is FotoFacial - RF?
Unlike lasers that are composed of light of one wavelength, FotoFacial (also known as photo rejuvenation or IPL) delivers pulses of light of multiple different wavelengths enabling it to target several skin conditions simultaneously. It was designed to restore the softness and radiance of your skin without the side effects associated with traditional resurfacing modalities. Radio frequency (RF) uses heat to induce collagen contraction and subsequent skin tightening. In marrying Intense Pulsed Light and Radio frequency energy into one treatment, FotoFacial RF treatments offer the very latest and most effective high–tech, non–invasive form of non-invasive skin enhancement. FotoFacial RF is the first and only machine to combine intense pulsed light with radio frequency for maximum safety, effectiveness, and comfort.

What Results Can I Expect From FotoFacial - RF?
FotoFacial RF safely and comfortably treats Rosacea, spider veins, sun damage, age spots (also known as freckles, brown spots or sun spots), as well as uneven skin tone created by brown and red spots. In addition, because it uses bipolar radio frequency, FotoFacial RF will simultaneously stimulate collagen production leading to softer wrinkles and tighter pores. The results are progressive and your satisfaction will increase with each successive treatment with up to 90% improvement. The end result is smoother, healthier, younger looking skin.

What Is The Treatment Like?
You will experience a warm sensation during your treatment but there is practically no discomfort. This is minimized with the use of numbing cream, which is applied to the skin 20 minutes prior to the scheduled FotoFacial RF™. A forced air, skin–cooling system, the SynerCool, provides an additional degree of comfort. The procedure may take up to an hour and can be performed on the face as well as the neck, chest, and hands. There is no downtime and you can return to your normal daily activities without delay. Improvements in skin tone and texture, as well as colour and overall redness are visible after each session, but a series of 5 to 6 treatments is recommended for optimal results. A microdermabrasion treatment is usually performed between FotoFacial RF treatments to enhance the penetration of the light and Radio Frequency energy. Your skin therapist will customize a skin care regimen to accelerate your results and help you maintain your improvements once you complete your series of treatments.
