What To Expect During Your Thermographic Scan
You will need to set up two appointments about two weeks apart. At the first appointment, a detailed medical history is inputted, and the in-depth scan is performed two times. At the second appointment we will sit down with you to go over the findings and make holistic recommendations for any life style modifications and any other additional tests or therapies that may be beneficial to your future well being.
If there are any unusual readings, and with your approval, we will forward the detailed information directly to your medical or naturopathic physician for medical follow up and any additional clinical tests they may deem necessary.

The Scan Itself
It is very important to prepare accordingly for this specialized test. Please refer to How To Prepare for Your CRT Scan below. As circadian rhythms play a major factor in obtaining correct measures, this test can only be performed prior to mid-day. As such there is only a short window of opportunity each day in which the CRT can be offered. You will need to dress in lose fitting pants and top that can zip - or button-up in front to facilitate taking the temperature readings.

We'll start by entering a detailed medical history while you acclimatize to the slightly lower than normal temperature (18-20C) of the thermography room. This process normally takes around 10 minutes.

After this, we'll begin the scan itself by using a very sensitive probe to take the temperature of your thyroid, sinuses, teeth and forehead. Then you'll be asked to open your upper clothing and we will take readings of the front and back of your upper and lower torso including specific points on your arms. In total, 119 specific points are measured. This will provide the baseline data of your major body systems against which to compare your other body temperatures.

You will then be asked to remove most of your clothing (under pants remain on) and you will be left in a comfortable private room for your disrobed body acclimatize for 10 minutes, after which, your Thermographist will then proceed to take the second measures of those same 119 points. You will then be able to get dressed.

The temperature readings are sent electronically to be compared against 30+ years of other thermography body readings stored in a central data bank. Once analyzed, a detailed clinical assessment and Thermogram will be sent back where our certified Thermographist will provide you with the initial interpretation of the findings.

Any findings will be assessed against specific markers which will allow us to see if there are any dis-eased or unbalanced areas that may require further investigation – blockages, inflammation, degeneration, infection, congestion, etc. All body temperature readings will be assessed – lymph system, thyroid, ovaries, skeleton – everywhere so that any abnormality becomes apparent.

At your second appointment we will present the findings along with any beneficial lifestyle recommendations. This information will not be sent via mail or email – it will be provided in office. This meeting will take around 30-40 minutes. In cases where disease patterns are evident, we may also suggest that you follow up with a medical practitioner to whom we can forward the report, if you so desire.
